That probably represents something like 20% of his after tax income. We don't know what his financial situation is. Are they provided with a pension or health benefits? So with so much of his financial future tied to the options he owns this purchase was probably not a good move in terms of financial planning.

This was a signal of support for us and it is starting to bug me that people have begun criticising it but it does not surprise me.
