in response to BmRBnZorPoet's message

large or unusual events would be OK.

half-pennies might be worth a post (indicates institutional activity)

similarly, sharing L2 (for those who don't pay the fees for it), identifying interesting crosses, new or atypical house activity, even ChartPoV's analysis ... all content that is useful.

that's the key distinction to make.

but I agree, yes the routine up/down pennies (and quite likely on 15-20 minute delay anyway) may scratch the insatiable itch to "post something on the Internet", however it is not very useful and should be reduced. not necessarily eliminated, but certainly reduced.

it calls for the use of Good Judgement(tm) and Common Sense(tm).

the three open exceptions I can think of being

  • anyone who is a professional televised snooker/billiards commentator,
  • anyone who can prove they have a suitably uncontrollable medical condition (e.g., Parkinsons, Tourettes), or
  • anyone that lost their shirt with Nortel and are officialy granted a once-yearly "say/do anything" freak out by the website owners.

for the others, I suppose we can thank Twitter and the world of 10-second television commercials for training them so well, but they shouldn't get much of a reprieve.

imo.

GLAL,

R.
