Quite honestly I think this might be one of the advantages but probably is a very small part of the benefit. I think the new team knows that if they can deliver then the NASDAQ listing will happen when it happens.
That being said if POET needed institutional investors to pull this off rather than partnership backing then yes the bankers would want to do this simultaneous with a NASDAQ listing. And maybe that is better such that POET would not owe any partners anything? Totally control that part of the market with their products.
Who knows? There are a lot of variations to this part of the business plan that are possible.
