The bulk of the energy stored in the batteries is converted to mechanical energy - i.e. used to move the car. There would be some savings in the various electronic systems however, without know the percentage used by said systems it is hard to guage what kind of additional mileage one might get. If for example, the onboard systems only consume ~1 % of the energy stored in the batteries then the overall gains would be almost negligible IMHO. Good thought though ;)
