The thing to remember Heinz is that Pinetree would not have been forced to sell into POET news if the timing of news and importance of that news was such that POET shares had a big move up. It would have solved Pinetrees debt covenant.

Thus Pinetree would have remained a larger shareholder of POET. Which is probably not a shareholder POET wants owning a large chunk of the company?
