I don't imagine Dr.T would mind if Intel ended up licencing his IP; on the contrary, I believe it would make him very happy.
I think the whole Intel debate revolves around the fact the Dr.T, when asked (by RvH, if I remember correctly) if he would be working for Intel within a year said "I hope we have more pride than that", or words to that effect (sorry if the exact quote was in the you tube clip...can't open that where I am).
What it meant to me was that POET was NOT for sale, contrary to continuing assertions, and continues to perform in a way that suggests it will go it alone.
Intel is not the enemy, other than in the sense of a possible acquisitor.
Intel is a potential customer.
