McWitty: I'm curious to know, how you found this promising company? And when?
I found out about POET (then OPEL) in 2011 after the Pellegrino 1 valuation. The German magazine "Der Aktionär" ("The Shareholder") had this article about it.
The electrical/optical integration in the same die caught me immediately and I bought a first position the next day. I am happy that position was a small speculative one only, small enough for weathering the solar storm. I bought considerably more in 2012 and 2013 after the company began its restructuring and decided to get rid of the solar crap.
Funny "Der Aktionär" suggested a 1000 % opportunity only! Back in 2011 I considered that an exaggeration, but today – being a proud member of the $70+ club – I'd say it was clearly an underestimation.
