You are of course quite right about the book definition of the IR role .
However, in the absence of a dedicated POET Media Ops role I feel we can assume that any contact with the Company albeit about MO can be through Chris to whichever Director overseas the MO/PR function, on the basis that we as investors have to work through the company's IR department.
Perhaps it's time for POET to have a dedicated PR/MO function. Though better we stop playing management roles as amateurs.
On a different tack it often occurs to me that the lack of broader company functional departments and sufficient numbers of staff viz Scientists, always makes me think this company's policy is to run on a shoestring until bought out or adopted by a white knight.
