1- "Had" : Doesn't mean we don't have or we are not going to have .
2- "had no dealings".
Usually a formal business relationship is announced after reaching a formal agreement, while there is a period of confidential negotiation between the parties. Until reaching such agreement, each party can claim they have no dealing (in terms of the doing business) with the other party.
3- Just Tony's Side:
Is Tony going to do moonlighting for another tech company? Definitely no. So, if Tony has joined the advisory committee, it means there is some talk, at least, between Apple and Poet, and based on that talks Apple has permitted Tony participation in the committee.
So, Christ, sorry, we have not been convinced by your short response, and we know there are much
more going behind the scene.
