Apple is potentially a White Knight. Why I say this is that Ajit was pretty clear in his statements about Intel and Samsung. Right now these companies know that an Apple connection exists. They simply can't afford to have Apple run away with the prize. They now know that Apple has representation on the POET Steering Committee to advance their interests in what POET can offer to Apple. I don't think there is much room for argument in that regard. The implications of this are staring right at them.
Remember what Lee Shepherd's favorite line was. What drive profound decisions in industry is not what you will gain by adopting a new technology but what you could potentially stand to lose = 48:16 – Ajit Manocha: So, who’s lunch will we eat? I don’t know, but people who believe in innovation, who believe in disrupting the industry, they will eat the lunch of the big players today. They are going to be our partners and they will eat maybe Intel’s lunch or Samsung’s lunch. I’m not going to specify. … The early adopters.
