I have not looked at it in detail yet feederline but from what you have posted and the quick scan clearly it is a hybrid approach requiring bonding Not just a single bond but multiple layers. It is not grown and is a multistep mechanical process. POET is a complete microfabrication process which is why it is said to be so cheap. Also I noted for the first time a statement made in the CIC presentation that the POET process allows for improved yield over existing processes. I think it is probably referenced toward the

Feederline...Geoff has been at this for thirty years. He has the complete package figured out so I think POET has a very significant head start over the new materials that will continue to be discovered.
