I am a little surprised that I never hear anyone discussing the macroeconomic environment as a potential risk for shareholders of PTK.
Does everyone simply believe that these risks are unknowable and therefore not worth discussing? Or do people believe in the case of PTK, they are irrelevant?
For example, when someone expresses frustration that the share price isn't moving up as fast or the way they want it to, they talk about shortsellers and bashers, but never about: Europe and Japan are in deflation; commodity prices are falling; the US economy is wobbly; the major indexes are at all time highs simply because of central bank support. Global capital markets are "through the looking glass" (interest rates becoming negative?!)...etc.
I am not fearmongering, but IMHO many institutional investors have very little interest in non-cash flow positive, risky, venture investments. I am crazy bullish about Poet's business and future, and the size of my position reflects this, but do y'all agree that the background environment out there isn't particularly supportive of a stock in PTK's current position?
