Alot of sepculation as to who the 3rd party foundry is and some clues that it may or not be GF. I can see them approaching smaller companies first. Those companies would probably be more open to a new idea, maybe more willing to "take some risk". A smaller company would almost definitely try to get the product into devices immediately. As has been discussed here at length, the bigger players have so much invested in Silicon that they could sign an exclusivity agreement, but then sit on it for a period of time (years possibly) until they wring every last $$ from silicon before moving on to the new technology. Trying not to suggest too much consipiracy but think of the electric car in the '90's?? Getting the product to companies who will actually use it now will move things along faster, forcing the larger ones to adopt it. If AM has not yet told his friends about this, why not? Maybe because he knows what they will ( or will not) do with it.
We talk alot here about connecting dots, lining up ducks etc. POET seems to have a very well planned strategy even if we don't know specifically what it is. It still remains to be seen if their strategy will be successful or not - but these guys seems very confident. I choose to trust them. GLTA
