There is no reason that when we have news of significance, that we cannot take it upon ourselves to nudge the social media horses with a coordinated, and planned effort to maximize its usefulness for our benefit. This would not be hard to do. We know social media works, so we have nothing to lose if we try to direct its power for a couple of days in order to maximize the spreading of the word.
