Ajit would never be able say it GF was the partner but he is definitely hinting at Global Foundries interest and he is advisor to the Global Foundry CEO. He is saying as much as he can say. Think about it. He made the statement that as the CEO of Global Foundries he would have wanted to hear about POET two years ago. The natural course of events would be that as advisor to GF current CEO he would know that GF would want a heads up on this technology as soon as possible.
He certainly cannot say I have been discussing this technology I am working on with Sanjay and how Ground Breaking it is. Tthat would lead to the "So GF is your 3rd Party fab?" question which Ajit could not answer. Best not to go there. Next best thing is to tell them how interested Sanjay is going to be in POET.
