Job Description - Fabrication Engineer/Technician
A semiconductor fabrication engineer/technician is required to perform experimental development of GaAs based semiconductor integrated circuits. An in depth knowledge of fabrication procedures for optoelectronics is desired commensurate with 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related topics. These include material science, wet chemistry etching, fine feature reactive ion etching, oxidation techniques, ion milling, rf and dc sputtering, thermal evaporation of gold alloys, e-gun evaporation of metals and dielectrics and PECVD deposition. Utilization of photolithography tools is essential. Versatility with diagnostic tools including Xray diffraction, polaron, microscopy, SEM evaluation, ellipsometry and surface profiling are required.
ODIS is a startup company developing a compound semiconductor planar optoelectronic technology through the pre-manufacturing stage. The fabrication engineer will be involved in the completion to technology readiness level (TRL) 8 followed by a transition to manufacturing. The initial position location will be in the ODIS development lab associated with the University of CT.
