Good observation, sigmadelta! Maintaining a low profile and going to the NASDAQ are conflicting targets indeed.
POET will not fly under the radar forever. In my opinion they will come out with a block buster revenue news release one day, which will end the age of darkness and raise the share price tremendously into the NASDAQ regions, i.e. significantly higher than 4 USD.
Only if that fails, i.e. if the share price settles as low as just 5 or 6 USD, they will likely get the back insurance out of the drawer and execute the reverse split. In my example this would raise the share price to 10 or 12 USD (at 2:1), which might be sufficient to ensure a minimum bid price of 4 USD over 90 days.
Everything just IMHO, of course.
