No problem woundedknees, POET uses these kind of 'disclaimers' all the time. Just read the last form 20-F, item 3-D. (Risk Factors) to be precise. You'll find phrases like:
- We have a limited operating history, and we do not expect to become profitable in the near future.
- We have not yet commercialized the POET technology, and we may never become profitable.
- The Company has a history of losses and expects to continue to incur additional losses for the foreseeable future.
I'm not trying to downplay anything, just trying to give some perspective. Some other companies I'm invested in also use such language in their filings. It's good to read the risks and be aware of them and maybe adjust the amount of money you invest, but I personally am not taking them too literally.
