I think it is safe to say the reason why they would entertain a consolidation is to get on NASDAQ. I am not sure why this is not clearly apparent.
I personally believe it is a significant advantage to get on the NASDAQ - and the sooner the better. The announcement of Ajit is going to raise the awareness level of POET and as PDA's are announced, it would be better to be on a "big boy" board.
I understand the concern but, speaking for myself, I'm not worried about it. I trust those in charge know what they are doing (like the ex-CEO of Global Foundries for example....).
...sometimes it is easy to be an armchair quaterback but if 99% of the people on this board were to get on the real field (be CEO), a lot of incompleted passses would be made.
