Also if HP is a threat to other companies because of this hardware, they will be looking for something to keep up....POET might be a viable option for those wanting to compete with HP if HP is not partnered with PTK. Also if HP would like to ensure that they have the ONLY option for next level computing then they may atempt to own PTK just to keep it from everyone else. All these articles do is confirm that the paradigm shift to photonics and a new type of memory (memristor) is already in effect. The big boys know where they need to head.
