I've been guilty of misreading posts myself sometimes but I've noticed it usually happens when there has been a lull between post and response. Lately I've been quite busy during the trading day and sometimes don't start reading the days posts until evening. When you read them one after the other in quick succession its easy to recall the post that someone is responding to. Where I run into context coherency difficulty is when I'm all caught up with the posts and just periodically checking in. I'm sure this contributes to some of the problems with misunderstandings here. A good practice is to read the post being responded to again if you find you hackles being raised by what you read.
