They could halt the stock for the whole ECC event, let Geoff Taylor announce whatever he has to announce, let a corresponding news release follow immediately, wait a couple of minutes so people can (try to) digest the news, and then resume trading. Should be fine for everyone. Well, except for the shorties, but who cares!
