Rob, proxy voting at the AGM might be the least problem once people make up their minds to transfer their voting rights. However, whom would the average retailer pick as his proxy, especially if he doesn't know this forum? His bank? His broker? His grandma? No one? Could well be he does without proxy voting and his votes go by the board. An association could improve that.

But it's not just about voting. Equally important: An association would gain much more public visibility than some loosly coordinated proxy voting attempts for a particular AGM. An association would represent us retails shareholder also to the media and thus give us a voice. It would attract more investors and thus become more influential – which would be a good think.
