Back years ago when I first bought Opelf (yup) what drew me to the company was the Billion dollar valuation. I was actually looking at investing in another company and saw the high volume and little blurb about pellegrino 1.0 and started watching it. I watched it drop from around the 1.50 to about .75 and jumped in. During that time I started my DD and understanding of the company. I liked that we had solar (ha) to backstop the R&D with profit. I always had in mind that this was a take out, not a long term company.
I share this to demonstrate the power of a valuation. And what motivates investors. Most will not do a thourough evaluation of a company without a dollar figure attached. That is what people want. When they see BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY they get excited. When the see INTEL, APPLE, HP they get excited. This is what will move the share price. Imho
