Sometimes, an offer will increase the SP even beyond the offered per share price. There can be counter offers to an initial offer as well.

I'm probably going to hold tight until I'm asked to tender my shares, and decide then.

There's also a possibility that there isn't a take-out, and the company does indeed partner up to licence and go it alone. (But I don't think this is as likely)
