Job Description
We are currently recruiting for someone interested in a leadership role for a team of talented and driven engineers.
The Firmware Engineering Manager will provide thought leadership within engineering and throughout the company that directly relates to the success of Microvision technology. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in:
*Embedded Software Design and development of low power devices.
*Launch of high volume consumer electronics or embedded components
*Managing development with partners, vendors and customers and OEM/ODM programs
*Managing global, high performing teams
Position will provide hands-on management of embedded SW activities for Microvision’s Electronics Platform, including:
*Embedded Software Design for Processor Cores and Digital Signal Processors embedded in System on Chip (SoC) devices within Microvision’s Display products.
*Algorithm development to control complex non-linear devices, such as MEMS scanners and laser diodes.
*Software Development Processes thru Software Life cycle: Requirements, Specification, Software Architecture, Design, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, Maintenance.
Work Activities will include:
*Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
*Identify resources, track and assign individual responsibilities.
*Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope work load.
*Review deliverables prepared by team.
*Track the full product development lifecycle from requirement to testing.
*Track and guide the systems testing and verification.
*Track and guide the bug management process.
*Participate in design reviews to ensure requirements are being met.
*Ensure project documents are complete, current, and released.
*Manage offsite development resources.
