Mar. 3, 2010 (TheNewswire.ca) --

Vancouver, B.C. - JOURNEY RESOURCES CORP. (OOTC:JNYRF) (TSXV:JNY) ("Journey" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the Company has commenced a pilot-mining program on the Charay Property. The pilot mining program will entail de-watering the workings, conduct a detailed underground survey and initiate a mining operation involving 35,000 tonnes of near-surface high-grade material from the El Padre vein.

Two bulk samples taken from the El Padre vein in January 2010 have been shipped to Laboratorio Tecnologico de Metalurgia in Hermosillo, Sonora for metallurgical testing. Head assays from the bulk samples have been received, and they confirm the high gold-silver grades of the Charay property. Five cuts from a 200kg sample of heavily oxidized surface vein material range from 7.90 to 9.50 gm/T Au and 120 to 127 gm/T Ag, in line with previous "near-surface" vein sampling. Five cuts from a 50kg core-composite sample of vein material taken from intercepts at 25m to 55m depths range from 18.90 to 21.40 gm/T Au and 110 to 125 gm/T Ag, in line with previous core results. The Company is waiting for the results of preliminary gravity, leach and flotation metallurgical testwork on the two bulk samples.

Minerales Jazz S.A. de C.V. (subsidiary of the Company) has been issued a blasting permit and environmental permit and is in the process of applying to the governmental authorities for additional permits required for the planned pilot-mining and the drill program. The initial pilot-mining will entail a mining operation involving an initial 35,000 tonnes of material that lies at surface.

In 2008, the Company acquired an option on the Charay Property, which comprises three mineral concessions covering approximately 380 hectares located in northern Sinaloa State, Mexico, approximately 250 km northwest of the state capital Culiacan. The property presents a rare opportunity for near-term production. An April 2008 technical report by Gordon J. Allen, P. Geol places the high grade vein-hosted gold-silver Charay property ready for near-term production. Charay is also considered prospective for new discoveries; the mineralized structure remains open along strike with mineralization appearing to increase with depth.

In 2005, Vane Minerals Group (Vane) drilled 27 shallow holes totaling 1,576 meters on the Property. Eight drill holes targeted large zones of intense alteration in search of large-tonnage, low-grade disseminated mineralization. Nineteen drill holes targeted and intersected mineralized quartz veining along a 240 meter strike length of the El Padre vein. Vane estimated a resource of approximately 37,000 tonnes averaging 18.75 gm/T Au and 120.15 gm/T Ag along the 240 meter drill-tested section of the structure, across a width of 1.14 meters and to a depth of 50 meters. The data has not been sufficiently verified by a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 to be classified as a current resource estimate. Journey is not treating the estimate as a current resource estimate and therefore, this data should not be relied upon.

The qualified person for the project, Phil Van Angeren, P.Geol, is evaluating historical data and developing a drilling and bulk sampling program in order to define a geological resource sufficient to commission a feasibilty study for the possibility of full-scale mining and processing of high grade ore at Charay. A 43-101 compliant report is currently being prepared for Journey Resources Corp. and is expected to be filed shortly.
