I don't know much about "shorting" as I don't believe in trying to trade in something I don't own.

However, it makes sense that if you "buy" something and don't want to be "out of pocket", you first need to sell something.

Also, last time I looked AUM had traded only 8335 shares.

Don't know if you can cover shorts in one company by buying shares in another, or even if you can cross over between exchanges.

Can you explain your theory, please?
