It's going to be rough on gold and silver if the sense is a compromise is truly near, or, of course, if the debt ceiling is successfully reached. Not sure how long that bloom will remain on the rose, though. If, indeed, G&S get hit hard early in the week, I'm hopefull that the effect on the mining shares will be very much muted, in the inverse manner to what we've experienced for what seems like eternity!
