Golden Minerals Company

ECU was a Canadian Company based in Quebec. Golden Minerals is a Delaware-based company located in Colorado. I assume the Newco will become a Delaware-based company located in Colorado. Is there any potential downside to becoming a US mining company such as taxes, expropriation etc? I don't trust the US administration based on their track record manipulating everything to do with gold and silver bullion.

I am still doing my dd on the merger but I have to say that while we may have lost the potential for ECU being a 10-bagger, the Newco is a much safer investment that still has the potential for a triple.
