Comment:
There has never been any successful "zone" agreed to without bloodshed, and especially between passionate and patriotic countries within Europe. For politicians to "impose" the EU on the people without their consent, was always "a disaster in the making".
It was always doomed to fail. Wonder why TPTB could not see it. Wonder why TPTB still do not understand it?
Imagine many generations of feuding families trying to agree to live in the same house.
Imagine the Hatfields and McCoys bailing each other out.
Europe is a mess and will just get messier.
I expect bloodshed in Europe before this problem is even close to being solved.
