You could look at it in a different way- with the USD on a massive downwards trajectory with little or no relief in sight- heck why not pledge hundreds of billions in healthcare, global warming payouts, Afghanistan troops and heck while we're at it building a huge amusement park in Idaho (say it with me- "Potatoe land" with a groundbreaking ceremony by Quayle). Gold bugs can look at it this way- keep printing money boys, print it and print it and print it... we'll keep holding real value. Real value like that in ECU- heck buy it while it's not hot (cause it will be someday soon).

P.S. Dubai is a depressing icon of capitalism at 'speed addict' levels. It makes Las Vegas look like a small Amish village...
