The Nixon Fork Gold Mine in Alaska has the potential to be a near term gold producer. Nixon fork is a turn key mining operation which is fully permitted and bonded. The property hosts an NI 43-101 indicated resource of 128,500 ounces and inferred 74,600 ounces of gold. A 28,000 m drill program is now in progress.

About Fire River Gold Corp.

Fire River Gold Corp. is Alaska's newest gold producer, with a projected 50,000 ounces per year of gold to be produced on its wholly owned Nixon Fork Gold Mine located in the resource rich Tintina Gold Belt.

Operations started in July of 2011, with plans to ramp up to full production by spring/summer 2012. This year-round mine program is producing both concentrate and doré bars. Fire River Gold will be replenishing what is mined on an annual basis by further drilling exploration targets on surface and underground.

The Company has a stable platform for growth due to its talented and knowledgeable management team and Board of Directors who have the experience to execute on Fire River Gold's strategy.

The Nixon Fork Mine is a past producing mine with a high grade production history, and a low capital requirement due to pre-existing infrastructure. The Nixon Fork Mine is operated by Mystery Creek Resources, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fire River Gold Corp. which is based in Anchorage, Alaska.

    President & CEO, Director

    Mr. Barr is a senior executive with over 30 years experience in the mineral exploration industry.

    He has founded several public companies including Canalaska Uranium Ltd., Freegold Ventures Limited, Pacific North West Capital Corp. and Fire River Gold Corp. and presently is a Director as well as President and CEO of both Pacific North West Capital, Fire River Gold and Chairman of El Nino Ventures Inc. His expertise lies in successfully identifying key mining professionals to accomplish their respective corporate objectives. Mr. Barr and his team have raised in excess of $200 million in exploration financings and have entered into over 30 option joint venture agreements with major, mid-tier and junior mining companies.

    CFO

    Mr. Guanzon has been in the field of accounting for more than 20 years. He has been involved in the financial reporting of pharmaceutical manufacturing, research & development, real estate/property management and project building construction. He holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting and received his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Philippines.

    Since 1997, Ms. Bligh has held the position of corporate secretary for various public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and Amex. Most recently, Ms. Bligh was Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer of a TSX Venture Exchange and Amex listed company where she guided the regulatory and corporate governance affairs of the company. Ms. Bligh has been the Corporate Secretary of Fire River Gold Corp. since November 2010.

  • Richard Goodwin, P. Eng.,

    Vice President, Mining

    Mr. Goodwin is a professional mining engineer with over 25 years experience in underground mine operations, engineering consulting and corporate management. Early in his career, Mr. Goodwin worked at the Myra Falls Operations of Westmin Resources Ltd. for ten years, during which time he performed numerous mine engineering roles and three years of hands-on experience as an underground miner. In 1995 he became a consulting mining engineer, first with MRDI Canada as a Principal Engineer and later with Snowden MIC, where he managed Snowden's steady growth in Canada.

    Mr. Goodwin then went on to manage the development, test mining and completion of feasibility studies as Vice President, Mining, for Yukon Zinc Corporation's Wolverine zinc-silver project. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Goodwin oversaw a $300 M project for the construction of a 2000 tonne-per-day polymetallic mine as Chief Operating Officer & Vice President Mining for Redcorp Resources Ltd. In each of his last three assignments, he has demonstrated the ability to assemble and manage a competent technical team to manage advanced stage mining projects.

  • Leonard Therrien

    Mine Superintendent

    Mr. Therrien has extensive mine management experience, primarily in the Marathon region of Ontario, where he has worked these past 24 years.

    His last assignment was as Mine Superintendent of Barrick Gold Corporation's 800 tpd David Bell Mine, where he managed all aspects of underground production including production and maintenance and managed a total crew of 150 workers. Prior to this, Mr. Therrien worked at the Williams Mine, beginning as a miner and ending as Mine Contract Coordinator. Although mine production is Mr. Therrien's primary interest, he is a fully trained and registered Professional Mining Engineer (Ont), with a bachelor's degree from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a technical diploma from Haileybury School of Mines and Technology (Ont).

  • Kristian Whitehead

    Senior Geologist

    Mr. Whitehead has focused his seven years of exploration experience on gold exploration, primarily in the Tintina Gold Belt, where the Nixon Fork Mine is located. He has acted as Senior Project Geologist twice before; on the Dublin Gulch Project for StrataGold, and most recently on the Cassiar Gold Project for Hawthorne Gold Corporation.

    Senior Geologist

    Ms. Mrozek received a BSc. from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and is currently completing her MS in Economic Geology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Ms Mrozek has over 5 years of exploration and mining experience in the Tintina Gold Belt. Her previous experience includes two years of Metallurgy and one year Mine Geology at Kinross' Fort Knox Mine.

    Mr. Freeman has over 30 years of experience in mineral exploration and is the founder of Avalon Development Corp. one of Alaska's biggest and best known geological consulting companies. Mr. Freeman has worked with IMG and its companies within the group and has been an instrumental figure in the success of a number of exploration projects throughout Alaska.

    Mr. Barr has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry.

    He was the founder of CanAlaska Uranium, Freegold Ventures Limited, El Nino Ventures Inc., Fire River Gold Corp. and Next Gen Metals Inc. In 2004, Mr. Barr set a corporate mandate to hire CEO's and Presidents to manage the above companies. After working for two years with the Presidents of CanAlaska Uranium, Freegold Ventures, and El Nino Ventures, Mr. Barr resigned from the Companies and their respective Board of Directors. He is the President, CEO and Director of Pacific North West Capital Corp. and the Chairman, President and CEO of Next Gen Metals Inc.

    On September 25, 2009, Mr. Barr was appointed Chairman and acting CEO of El Nino Ventures Inc.

    Working in conjunction with Richard Goodwin, Mr. Barr's corporate objective is to finance the Nixon Fork Gold Mine and assemble a seasoned production team to move the Nixon Fork Gold Mine back into operation.

    Mr. Russell has been the President & CEO and Director of Apollo Gold Corporation ("Apollo Gold") since 2002, which was listed on the TSX and on AMEX. In May 2010 Apollo Gold merged with Linear Gold Corp to form a new entity called Brigus Gold Corp. (TSX & NYSE AMEX: BRD) with proven & probable reserves over 2,360,000 oz of gold. The Black Fox Mine in Timmins, Ontario and is currently producing at the rate of 85,000 ounces per year. In 1999, Mr. Russell founded Nevoro Gold Corporation which was subsequently merged with Apollo Gold. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Russell was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Getchell Gold Corporation ("Getchell"), a Nevada gold producer which was acquired in 1999 by Placer Dome Inc. (NYSE: PDG) for US$1.09 billion. Prior to working for Getchell, Mr. Russell was General Manager, US operations, for LAC Minerals Ltd. and, after their acquisition, Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Russell received his Mining Engineering Degree from Montana Tech at the University of Montana.

Mr. Cacos has an extensive network of contacts with the financial community including fund managers, industry analysts and media throughout North America, the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
