Thomas Larsen | Chairman of the Board, President and CEO

Mr. Larsen has held the role of President and CEO of the company since 2006. He has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry, specializing in corporate finance and management of junior mining companies, raising in excess of $100 million. Prior to joining Champion Iron Mines, Mr. Larsen held senior executive positions at a number of junior resource companies, where he was also involved in corporate finance and management activities. Mr. Larsen is a director of Eloro Resources, Northfield Metals Inc. and Bear Lake Gold Ltd. Mr. Larsen is a member of the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety Committee.

Donald A. Sheldon, LLB., P. Eng.

Mr. Sheldon was appointed to the Board of Directors in September 2008, bringing with him extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Mr. Sheldon is the Executive Officer of Sheldon Huxtable Professional Corporation, a Toronto-based law firm, where he has been advising mining companies for over 30 years. Currently, Mr. Sheldon also serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Carlisle Goldfields Ltd. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Metalcorp Limited and Rockex Mining Corporation, and a Director of Crown Gold Corporation, Gold Train Resources Inc. and Bending Lake Iron Group Limited (a private company), as well as an officer of The Temagami Iron Corporation (a private company). Mr. Sheldon is the Chair of the Company's Audit Committee and a member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee.

Alexander Horvath, P.Geo.

Mr. Horvath joined Champion Iron Minnes as a Director in September 2007 and Executive Vice President, Exploration in March 2008, bringing with him over 28 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining. Since 2006, Mr. Horvath has been President of A.S. Horvath Engineering Inc., an Ottawa-based exploration / mining geological services firm. He has also spent over 20 years with Asarco Inc. and its associated international subsidiaries located in Canada, Portugal and French Guyana, in progressively senior operational roles, where he was involved in managing base and precious metals exploration, mineral resource estimates, feasibility studies, reserve audits and acquisition due diligence reviews. Mr. Horvath is currently a director of Bear Lake Gold Ltd. and Eloro Resources Ltd, and he is a member of the company’s Compensation and Nominating Committee and the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee.

Francis Sauve

Mr. Sauve was appointed to the Board of Directors in September 2009, bringing with him over 20 years of management and corporate development experience. He is an entrepreneur focused primarily in the agriculture business, where he is involved in land acquisitions, consulting, and custom services. Mr. Sauve is currently a director of Eloro Resources Ltd. and Northfield Metals Inc. and he is a member of the Company’s Compensation and Nominating Committee.

William Harding

Mr. Harding, Chairman of Alpine Asset Advisors AG, has over 25 years of in-depth exposure to capital markets in both the public and private sectors and is experienced in international portfolio management, investment consultancy and property management and development. He is a member of the Board of Governors of CI Investment Inc. and certified corporate director (ICD.D) candidate. His career began in Corporate Finance at Wood Gundy Ltd (CIBC World Markets) and worked in Institutional Equity Research and Sales at Gardiner Watson Ltd. (Morgan Stanley). Prior to founding Alpine Asset Advisors AG, Mr. Harding was a Managing Partner of a Swiss Based Independent Financial Intermediary (Bruellan SA) specializing in Portfolio Management of Family Offices and High Net-Worth Individuals. Mr Harding was an owner/operator of a privately held Manufacturing and Distribution enterprise (non-durable consumer goods) in North America and Europe. Mr. Harding holds a Masters in Business Administration from IMD International, Lausanne, Switzerland and an Undergraduate Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Jean Lafleur, M. Sc., P. Geo | Director

Mr. Lafleur, a member of the Board of Directors from 2006-2011, was re-appointed in May 2012. He is a Professional Geologist with 30 years of experience in various capacities within the mineral exploration industry, including company, project and property evaluations and audits, project planning and execution, supervision and management, and resource estimations. He has been active in Canada and internationally with a wide range of industry-leading companies, such as Newmont Mining Corp., Falconbridge Ltd. and Placer Dome Inc. Since 2003, he has been a mineral exploration consultant as President of PJLEXPL Mineral Exploration Inc., leading teams in the search for gold, base metals, nickel, PGE’s, uranium and iron. He is also currently a Director of Pershimco Resources
