I think we soon see if there is a link between TSLA and EFL via a technology licensing agreement over the non-NMP manufacturing process. Musk was talking about a small canadian company and EFL promoting their process that has the capability to save up to 50$ on a kWh in Li-ion batteries, eliminating the expensive solvent and dryer processes. Btw, i do not see any destillation system or solvent recovery tower outside the building anywhere.
Musk further promoted cost savings in the Giga Factory of about 35% on the kWh, an estimated TSLA price of 165$ per kWh gets us into that range. Lets see - it might be one reason why finacing is already further down the road then most of us expecting and why 10m help to bridge smaller liquidity gaps.
