I don't believe any cash has actually changed hands but yes, I do recall agreements being supposedly prepared for mining and gold is one of the listed commodoties.

I doubt Vz. would front any cash but I am sure a deal could be structured to allow payback to China in increments as production is initiated.

It is about time for more cash to be transferred for use. It has been quite a while since the initial $4B dollars was released.

An update on the China/VZ portfolio should be coming up to the public.
