The waters of the Cuyuní river have become ocher before the devastating action that comes generating
The Ecological Research center, in charge of Alexander Lanz, denounced how the fuel contraband is impelling the existence of the illegal mining to the south of the state Bolivar.
Lanz emphasized through an official notice that “around 400 daily drums is dispatched in this gasoline pump to the sector Bizcaetarra, the Kaolin and Breezes of the Cuyuní in the zone of Aymaran”.
It indicated that the denunciations are daily that the NGO by a problematic one receives which it increases, where they are involved civil servants of Mining the Basic Ministry of Industry and (Mibam). “Settler of the sector they indicate - supposed participation of present civil servants of the Mibam in km 88, like the creators of this fuel deflection”, said the representative of the NGO, that indicated its preoccupation to a problem that goes to the detriment of the atmosphere, to the end which “we have been able to state how the waters of the Cuyuní river have become ocher before the devastating action that comes generating in this one channel from the river in the zone of Aymaran and Breezes of the Cuyuní (...) are more than 50 equipment working day and night being useful the constant fuel provision, del which they are object”.
According to Lanz it was indicated how the miners, in their majority Brazilian and guayaneses, work in those zones in the illegal exercise, “as it is the case of the Cuyuní river; while in Bizcaetarra already the permissions and projects are overcome that the Mission To cheep granted for this aim”.
In order to finalize it exhorted to the military administrations, to the minister of the Defense and the head of Operations Rangel Silva to investigate the presumed participation of officials government in this fuel contraband network that comes increasing the ecological damages to the natural patrimony of Guayana and the country.
