My apologies; I gave the impression that VZ was "on vacation" in a post a couple days ago. What I meant by that is that the goverment agencies typically wind things down this time of year, so a permit for mining gold would likely not be issued before the end of the year. But who knows? Looks like the VZ government might be busy.
