Makin, that's an interesting thought. Funny, that's never really been bantied around here. If a gold deposit of 3 or so million oz. is worth fight for by majors, then a deposit of 10 mil or so, right next door to your main mine, would certainly seem like a no brainer.

That would certainly make life easier for Chavez, having two mines that have been caught up in turmoil and controversy taken off his back. Add in a solution with the independents, and September could be one helluva grand slam for him, a great thing for Bolivar state, and the many thousands of workers and their families that have no work. What a difference it would make in moral for the entire area, if 20,000 men got work, and the 40-50 thousand family members had a proper standard of living......plus all the spinoff jobs.......could make a bit of difference for Chavez in the coming elections.

Lets hope El Presidente thinks that....
