Sounds like thousands of illegal miners are out there mining gold. This translates into thousands of ounces of gold leaving the ground. Now all this gold must be sold or stashed somewhere. Or smuggled out to be sold elsewhere. Must be some sort of pipeline to do this. Surley the authorities have some way to find this with so much of it on the move as is cocaine which is sometimes intercepted. I've never seen an news article about gold being caught in shipment.

You mine the gold, get a bag full, get $200.00 an ounce in the black market quick sale, go back and mine some more. Make lots of money. Someone must be stashing all this production.

Sounds like Chavez wants to stop this. Might give us an opening. Any thoughts?
