Only 48% of Venezuelans Chavez hopes

Caracas, February 12. The Venezuelan Institute for Data Analysis (IVAD), in its latest opinion poll commissioned by the Government, found that 58.35 of respondents believe that the performance of President Hugo Chávez has been good, but only 48% trust him .
The survey also indicated that the positive view of the opposition stood slightly above 50%. Six out of 10 Venezuelans believe that the situation in the country is poor and 70% think that 2010 will be the same or worse.
Consequently, the popularity of the president as commander his followers call him, has been falling gradually as the numbers show the poll, describing it as Venezuelans gave a support of 60.3% in December, less than 62 index, 4% since October and well below 71% recorded in September 2008.
Inefficiency
"More than three fifths" of Venezuelan citizens surveyed "believe that the attention will not be efficient by President Chavez to the country's problems," according to the results of the survey in this study between 12 and 28 January in a universe of 1,200 interviews he has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 to 2.4%.
46% of respondents blamed her responsibility to the President and his Government for failures such as insecurity, power crisis, unemployment and water rationing.
For the energy crisis, 40% of Venezuelans think Chávez and the government are to blame, only 26% see the source of the problem in the drought caused by El Niño weather phenomenon. And although the majority rejects the rationing of electricity, a majority also believes the government can afford it.
Parliamentarians
The Venezuelans, according to the poll, voted as follows: 39% support of Chavez candidates, while 34% would provide for the opposition.
A lawful enemy
The new electoral law that favors the representation of the majority, according to analyst estimates could give 75% of the seats in the National Assembly to the party getting 51% of the vote. The Venezuelans were in favor independent candidates to officials or opponents.
President Chavez, who is considered essential to rule beyond 2012 to ensure the continuity of his socialist revolution remains the most popular politician in the country, but most felt that the president consulted should end its mandate in 2012 or earlier.
