Cougar Minerals Corp holds options on natural resource properties in all three Prairie Provinces, each with a distinct focus:

Alberta: The Company holds an option on the George petroleum and natural gas lease located 1.5 km northeast of the town of Fairview, Alberta.

Saskatchewan: Cougar has the exclusive right to explore for coal on 37,280 hectares of land located south of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, and south of the recent impressive discoveries of thermal coal made by Goldsource Mines Inc.

Manitoba:
Cougar's primary exploration focus in 2009 is on its holdings close to San Gold Corporation's Rice Lake Mine located approximately 200 km northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, near the town of Bissett. Cougar has acquired rights on several different land packages that have a history of gold showings and mines, and the Company has plans for an aggressive 2009 summer exploration program followed by diamond drilling.

  • Mike Elson, B.Sc.

    President CEO & Director

    Mike Elson has over 40 years of mineral exploration experience. A graduate of the University of Alberta, Mr. Elson was the president of Aquiline Resources Inc. (TSX: AQI), was active in the initial funding and exploration program of Tuxedo Resources, the predecessor company to Uranium One Inc. (TSX: UUU), and was a member of the exploration team responsible for the discovery of the Faro ore body (60,000,000 tonnes of 10% Pb, Zn.). He also acts as a consulting for Pacific Coast Nickel Corp. (TSX-V).

  • Ross Blusson

    Director

    Mr Blusson graduated from the Unversity of British Columbia in 1962 with a degree in Geology. He was a long-term employee of Kennecott Copper until 1970 and was instrumental in the discovery of the Equity Silver Mine. Since 1970 Mr. Blusson has worked as an independent geologist. He is a presently a director of Nanika Resources, New Nadina mines and Archon Minerals Corp.

    Mr. Christopher Grove has been a director of Zimtu Capital Corp. since its incorporation in April 2004. Mr. Grove is an experienced resource communications and marketing professional and is currently head of Corporate Communications for Commerce Resources Corp. (TSX-V:CCE) (FSE:D7H). Mr. Grove has particular expertise with private and public early stage growth companies where he boasts strong connections with money managers, analysts, investment bankers, and retail stockbrokers. Known for his strong communication skills, Mr. Grove’s network of contacts within the financial community and the resource media extends across North America and Europe.

  • Larry Johnson

    Chief Financial Officer "CFO"

    Mr. Johnson has been the Chief Financial Officer of Killdeer Minerals Inc. since March, 2009. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree (Geology) from the University of British Columbia (1972) and became a Chartered Accountant in 1975. He has experience in the field as an exploration geologist and project manager for diamonds and both precious and base metals. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Fronteer Development Group Ltd. from November, 2003 to January, 2005 and is currently the CFO for Saturn Minerals Inc., Swift Resources Inc. and Cougar Minerals Corp.
