See below an article on five super materials that should put to bed everyone's worries that copper is to be replaced anytime soon. For example, stanene has been "discovered" in theory so far and still needs to be proven in real life.

IMO, copper is here to stay and a deficit is coming wether we like it or not and there is no new material ready to replace copper on a world scale to avoid the deficit.
