Honestly, it doesn't say much on which type of investments.

The problem is the rules are not absolute. Clearly though they consider some investments as not eligible for tax-free status.

It occurred to me that one of the 8 situations that might trigger an audit is advertising that you are looking for shares. I would think that those people who have started a blog to promote their stocks might be considered to be advertising.

I also thought that if we get Teck shares in exchange for CUU shares we'll be fine because they are dividend paying and not as speculative like penny stocks.
