My guess was this was added because it was one of the optimizations they are looking at. In reviewing the cores to optimize some might come out worse. It is a risk which you never know could happen when playing like they are.

For the 12 year comments it always seems to say first 12 years. They do not say the 12 year mine life. Basically it is the usual cyan stuff.
