If Ernesto is only getting offers of $1 let's say, but knows he'd get closer to $5 in 4 years near the start of the mega-mine he envisions, well then Ernesto will like the ROR he sees, ie. 500% over 4 years, or 50% p.a. compounded, and may think this slam-dunk 5-bagger ($900 million extra) w/b worth the 4-year wait...

Maybe he has already charted out the discounted value of $5/sh from 2018 backwards and will accept something above that trend line at any given time. I can only hope such an offer comes in soon. As nice of an end result $5 would be for me, waiting 4 years for it will finanically ruin me well before seeing the finish line.
