The louder and louder sound Teck is hearing is the Tick Tocking of deferred SC profits the longer they play this game of chicken with a production decision. Eventually the allmighty dollar will dictate that they announce production first (doubt it) or raise their bid a little closer to Ernesto's price. If for example $500 M separates the bid and ask, keep in mind that this is about a year's worth of SC profits for Teck with their 75% stake. So Teck deferring a prodcution decision in order to "starve us out" can only last for so long before this strategy only starts hurting their own future growth plans, their own pocket book...
