In my opinion it's a combination of daily manipulation and occaisional capitulation/exasperation from small longs tossing in the towel who are in turn making it easy for the manipulators.

On a daily basis I notice hundreds of thousands of shares of volume causing a 3 to 4 cent decline, but only a minuscule fraction of that volume amount to get the SP right back up to square.

What does that tell us?
