Why Teck Won't Walk....(unless)

Teck is in business to make money. That doesn't necessarily require mining every property they can. If it can back in and take 75% of a copper district by incurring future expenditures of about 360 million and complying with the other agreement terms, then surely the only reason they would walk would be...(wait for it)... if they thought they couldn't sell that position for a significantly greater sum.

Whether Teck needs or wants a copper play is irrelevant to the back in decision if they can flip their position for a good profit.
