Regardless of what Schaft Creek is eventually worth I cannot see a take-over in the near term.

Can you actually see Teck pay +$400M for effectively a 25% interest in project with an after-tax NPV of $67M and 8.3% IRR?

Anything Teck pays to acquire Schaft Creek, on top of the +$3B capex, would give the project a negative NPV at an 8% discount.
